My son’s Birth Mother called me from jail on Friday. She wanted to know if I would put money on her account so she could get “store” while she was incarcerated. (That’s what they call getting food inside) Since we have spent over 20,000 dollars adopting our son because she contests it, even though she has never shown to one of our 6 court dates, I was not inclined to give her any money. An hour later she called back and said not to worry - she was getting released. WHo was worried?
Performed tonight at Max 10 - very way out with lots of performance artists in the show - and then me just standing still and reading - when many others had rolled on the floor, screeched, eaten something on stage shirtless or at least done a backwards summersault - I felt a little out of place, like I was cheating - even though people laughed.
Today was my youngest son’s birthday - he is officially three. I’m so lucky to have three children who I get to be the mother of. Each child teaches me something - like how long I can go without sleep. Today at school we had a little birthday party for him and his classmates made cards and a huge birthday banner. Andrew is lucky to have so many friends. I hope he keeps them for ever - I also hope he learns how to use the toilet. Right now he still enjoys peeing on the floor.
